Adult Lectionary Class
Our adult lectionary class is a Sunday school group that takes place between services on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 am. We take a deeper dive into the text that is taught from the pulpit during the morning services.
Women's Bible Study
Please consider joining one of our three studies that meet on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at various times. You can view open, current studies on our calendar here.
The Stitchers
Women who gather together in fellowship to share their handiwork skills and talents. We work on hats for the homeless, hats for Operation Christmas Child, and blankets, bonnets, and gowns for premature babies. Monday evenings, 6:00 – 8:30 PM in the office Conference Room.
Prayer Ministry
Prayer Team members are available to pray for any need you may have on your heart. Please go to the Chapel or the Calhoun St transept during or after communion at the 11 o’clock service. During the week, you may call for a scheduled time of prayer with our prayer ministers.
Men's Bible Study
Typically our men's bible study has different active seasons. We usually partner with Westminster Presbyterian Church and Jehovah Missionary Baptist for the men's studies. It announced in the services when the men's bible study group is starting a new study.
Choir

Music is an integral part of worship at Holy Comforter. We meet every Wed. at 7 PM for practice and then additionally on Sunday AM to prepare for the 11 o’clock service. It is helpful if you can sight-read music, but not required. We would love to have you come and join us and see how you can use your gift of song to assist in enhancing our worship service.

We are interested in helping you become actively involved in missions, individually or with your family, within the city of Sumter, the state of SC, the USA, or a foreign country. The mission field is TODAY-right where you are, and we’re always on a mission!
